Referral!!

On the evening of November 12, 2007, we received a phone call from our case worker that we had received our referral for adoption. In minutes, she had emailed 3 photos and medical files on our daughter in South Korea. We were ecstatic, overjoyed, excited, and surprised, all rolled into one. Pam and I instantly decided, yes, we want to give our family to her. The pediatrician reviewed the medical files the next day and gave the thumbs-up; as you can see, Maya is a beautiful, healthy looking little girl.

We told Oliver on Nov. 14, and he immediately became a proud, happy big brother. He removed artwork from his bedroom wall and affixed three carefully trimmed pictures of his little sister to the wall. He also took a picture to school the next morning to show his teacher and friends.
